I am trying to install j2j and it works half the time, so I am sure I am misunderstanding something.
When I initiate a conversation through the gateway, such as contacting a Gtalk user, everything works great. The entire conversation goes without a problem.
In the other direction, such as when a Gtalk user tries to contact me, I receive the message and can reply, but as soon as I send the first message in reply I get disconnected. My status changes to "offline" from the perspective of the Gtalk user. This behavior is very consistent.
I have checked that I am not setting "onlyroster", so I don't think that's it.
Looking at the logs, it appears to be a normal server disconnect, and not an error, so I am doubly confused.
Any guidance would be very much appreciated! I've see j2j work, so I'm sure it's an error on my part.
Thanks. |

In case this happens to anyone else:
The server was indeed hanging up up on the j2j transport, because the transport was sending invalid XML. The root of the problem was my version of Twisted (2.5.0) which apparently has a bug in it's XML serialization.
Upgrading Twisted to 8.1.0 fixed everything. j2j is now working great! |

yes. it's known problem. it seems we need to update documentation with new dependence requirement too. |
